BookMOTGarage is operated by DelaxNet Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 10378112). DelaxNet Ltd is the controller for the platform-account and marketplace information described here. An independent garage may also be a separate controller for records it needs to provide your chosen service.

Depending on how you use our platform, we may collect:

• Vehicle registration details
• Vehicle Passport mileage, maintenance, service, repair, reminder and structured Wallet details you choose to record
• Booking information
• Garage responses, inspection information and completed-work records connected with your booking
• Account information
• IP address
• Browser, sign-in, device and mobile push-registration information

We only collect information that is necessary to operate our services and improve user experience.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Process bookings and enquiries
• Connect drivers with garages
• Provide customer support
• Send booking confirmations and updates
• Improve website functionality
• Monitor platform performance
• Secure accounts, investigate faults and prevent misuse
• Provide the private Vehicle Passport and reminders you request
• Comply with legal obligations

Depending on the activity, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as platform security and service improvement, or where you have given consent. You can withdraw consent for the relevant activity, but this does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

4. Sources and Vehicle Passport

Information can come from you, your selected garage, existing booking records and official vehicle-data providers. Vehicle Passport labels identify whether a record is official, garage-confirmed, added by you or estimated by the platform. Driver-entered, garage-supplied, cached and estimated information may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate and must not be treated as proof that a vehicle is safe, roadworthy, legally compliant or suitable to drive.

The structured Vehicle Wallet is private to your verified account and is not shared with garages. Do not add another person's emergency-contact information unless they have agreed. New Wallet file uploads are not currently supported; you should keep original documents securely.

5. Sharing Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

• The garage selected by you for a booking
• Technology and hosting providers
• Payment providers (if applicable)
• Legal authorities where required by law

We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose. Private Vehicle Wallet information is not made available to garages through BookMOTGarage.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

No online service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly and do not include passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information in your message.

7. Data Retention

Retention depends on why the information is held, legal and tax obligations, fraud and security needs, limitation periods, dispute handling and whether the information forms part of a garage's booking, inspection, payment or transaction record. We periodically review whether information remains necessary.

Deleting your account removes your login and driver-owned Passport, Wallet, reminder, preference, sign-in and device-token data from the active platform workflow. Garage booking, payment, inspection and transaction records may be retained where a garage or DelaxNet Ltd still has a lawful reason, including legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Backup copies are handled through the applicable backup lifecycle and must not be silently restored as active account data after an accepted deletion request.

Under UK data protection laws, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to certain processing activities
• Request restriction of processing
• Request a copy of your personal data
• Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent

These rights are not absolute and depend on the processing and applicable law. We normally respond without undue delay and within one month after receiving the request and any information reasonably needed to verify identity. You can review and correct profile details in your account, delete eligible driver-owned records within Vehicle Passport, or use the account-deletion control.
