Air-conditioning diagnosis

Compressors and condensers

Heater diagnosis concerns the production or control of cabin heat. Blower work concerns moving air through the cabin. Tell the garage which fan speeds work and whether the problem affects one side or all vents.
Check that the garage can work on your system
Confirm suitability for the refrigerant and vehicle, particularly with electric compressors or heat-pump systems. Work around high-voltage systems requires appropriate competence. Bring any previous A/C repair history so repeat symptoms can be investigated.
Is an air-conditioning recharge the same as a repair?
No. Ask whether the booking includes fault checks and what happens if a leak or other problem prevents recharging. A refill should not be presented as proof that the system is repaired.

Will an air-conditioning clean make the air cold again?
